Wow! We have had a very busy week in FS2!
We started the week off by exploring our forest school. The children noticed the noises that the birds were making in the trees and could identify changes around them such as the leaves turning yellow and brown. This provided a perfect opportunity to learn about the seasons. The children collected natural resources which were placed onto a table in the classroom. The children were given paper and glue, along with the Rubric we used to make our self-portraits. The children independently used the Rubric to produce lovely pictures of faces and some children chose to make beautiful collages.
In class council the children have been learning about differences and why it is important to respect them. The children were given a picture to prompt a discussion of the similarities and differences that they could see. They then worked with a partner to see if they could identify what makes them different. The children compared their hair colour, clothing and gender.
The children have also been practising their balancing skills in PE. They listened carefully to their Synergy coach and could balance the bean bag whilst walking on, and crawling under the equipment.
