Harry and the dinosaurs
The children were given a challenge from Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs. Harry left the children a message to help him count out the right amount of dinosaurs because some were lost. During the input, they learnt how to count out one dinosaur at a time, matching number to quantity. The children also learnt that lining the dinosaurs up would help them to check how many they had.
Outside the children tried to get Harry across the water so that they could open the case. They worked together to think about what they could use to float. The children tried a brick, a piece of wood and a stickle brick. They eventually came across a bowl, which one child knew would work as she tried it before.
